This notice describes how LaundryRound Ltd uses information when you browse, request a collection or use an account.
Information we use
We use your email address for account access; your name, phone, postcode and address for collections; item and care details for cleaning; and order, quote, credit, receipt and support records to operate the service. Security records help prevent misuse. Avoid including sensitive personal information in garment or access notes.
Why we use it
We process booking information to take steps at your request and perform our service agreement. We keep accounting records where legally required. We use proportionate security and operational records for our legitimate interests in preventing fraud, resolving issues and running a reliable service. Optional marketing requires a separate choice; an account is not marketing consent.
Services that help us
Microsoft Azure hosts our application, database and transactional email delivery. Meta processes messages if you choose WhatsApp. Google services may handle correspondence sent to our email inbox. Postcodes.io provides postcode location checks. Website font files may be requested from Google Fonts. These providers may process data in other countries under their applicable arrangements and safeguards.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as needed to fulfil orders, resolve disputes and meet legal record-keeping duties, and review retention as the service grows. Sign-in codes expire after ten minutes and are stored as hashes, not readable codes. Account data is available only through authenticated access. Cash and credit events are recorded for accountability.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. Contact hello@laundryround.co.uk; we may need to verify your identity. Some records must be retained for legal or dispute purposes. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner at ico.org.uk.
Account deletion
To request deletion, email hello@laundryround.co.uk from your account email with the subject Account deletion. We will explain any records we need to retain and what happens to open orders and remaining rewards before closing the account.
